Lutheran Church of The Master is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), which has more than five million
members in the United States, and is a congregation of the Southwest California Synod.
As a part of the Christian family, the Lutheran Church began with the Reformation movements in the 16th century. The three
main themes of this movement were:
- We are put right with God solely by God's grace to us in Christ Jesus;
- We are saved solely by faith in Christ and not by any systems of religious rules or accumulation of good works;
- Scripture alone is the final authority and guide for our faith and life.
We seek to express with other Christian Churches the unity we have in Christ. We attempt to serve Christ by continuing
to bring the Good News to all people everywhere and by responding in love to those in need within our community and around
the world.
